Oh HAI Adam Ant. The first live concert I ever went to was to see Adam Ant at The Fillmore in San Fransisco. Of course that was 1995, after he released his last album to date (Wonderful), and well beyond the height of his popularity, and well beyond the release of the song posted below (1979). I just happened to see a enter-and-win-tickets thing that I entered for my sister, because she loved him when I was little. And when I mentioned it to her, she basically said, "we're not leaving it to chance; we're just buying tickets, and you're going with me". So of course, I had to soak up as much Adam Ant as possible before the concert, and I just totally fell in love. ...Oddly, I just bought Kings of the Wild Frontier used from Amazon yesterday because my copy is lost.
Side note: on the drive home from the concert, me and my sister broke down off the interstate in Oakland (which is a really bad neighborhood in Northern CA, for those who don't know), and had to walk at least a couple miles (getting harassed a couple times along the way) to a gas station, which was locked up so we couldn't go inside (it also had bars and bullet proof glass), to call a tow truck. Totally fun times, guys.
But the concert was great!
