ionaonie, who requested "Morgan/Reid. Something fluffy. Maybe in the budding weeks of their relationship" in my drabble offer from yesterday.
"You cooked." It wasn't a question, but Morgan was clearly disbelieving.
"I cooked," Spencer confirmed.
"You cooked for me?" Morgan said, wrapping his arms around Spencer's waist and pulling him in for a kiss. Spencer pulled back when their lips parted and nodded, his gaze on Morgan's.
"In all my adult life, I've never had a date cook for me," Morgan said.
Spencer's smile widened, but he said, "How many actual dates have you been on in recent years?"
Morgan snorted, and then chuckled softly, swaying them back and forth where they stood. "Touché."
Spencer grinned and pressed his face to Morgan's neck, kissing his skin. "I've never had anyone to cook for before," he admitted--well, other than his mother, but he didn't think that counted. He looked over to where he'd lit candles on his kitchen table, wondering if they were too much, then he pulled back. "Mmn, let me go, the eggs will burn."
Morgan tilted his head. "Eggs?"
"And bacon. And toast." Spencer gave Morgan a nervous, lopsided smile, then cleared his throat. "I didn't say I was a good cook."
Morgan stared at him another moment, and then started laughing, pulling Spencer into another tight embrace. "We'll still count it as a first. For both of us."

slash_girl, who requested "Hotch/Reid. Under the Christmas tree--take that however you want. *G*" in my drabble offer from yesterday. I couldn't figure out how to fit two grown men under the tree without knocking it over *cough*, so here you go!
There was giggling coming from under the tree.
Spencer lifted his eyebrows and looked at Aaron, who was wearing an amused look and simply staring at the squirming, Jack-sized lump under the tree--not just under the tree, but under the tree skirt too. He probably still had that bright orange bow stuck to his head.
"When did we decide to play hide and seek?" Spencer asked.
"You can't find me!" Jack called.
Aaron just shook with silent laughter. "Does it matter?" he asked, then got up to call around the house, seeking. The farther away from the living room he got, the louder Jack's squeals of delight got.
Once Aaron was calling out the back door, Jack lifted the tree skirt to peek out. As soon as he saw Spencer sitting there, he made a squeak, and pulled the skirt back over him in an instant.
Spencer looked around him, cleared his throat, then just sat there for a moment, fidgeting. He still wasn't used to Jack. He wasn't used to kids in general. Still, he'd promised Aaron he would try, so he eventually got down on his hands and knees, sighing, and crawled over to the tree skirt. He hesitated, then lifted it, and the next few seconds went by in a blur of color and sound.
"Arghhh!" Jack yelled, and leaped out, knocking several ornaments off the tree and Spencer to the floor, the tugging on the tree skirt causing the tree to waver dangerously for a moment. Jack's hand whacked Spencer's jaw on accident, and something sharp jabbed Spencer's stomach--a tiny knee, maybe. Spencer groaned and tried to roll away.
...Jack seemed to think it was all very, very funny.
Blessedly, Spencer felt the weight of the toddler lifted off him after a moment, and when he looked up from where he was sprawled on the floor, Aaron was smiling down at him, Jack draped over his shoulder, giggling.
"Spencer founded me!"
"I see that." Aaron hadn't looked this pleased in a long time, but Spencer just rubbed his stomach.
"Ow," he said belatedly, and Aaron laughed softly.
~~~
It was too late when Aaron finally got Jack to go to bed. Christmas had obviously excited him far too much to sleep, as evidenced by the wrapping paper and boxes strew across the living room floor.
When Aaron came back to where Spencer was sitting in the front room drinking eggnog, Aaron plucked the glass from his fingers and pressed Spencer to the couch.
"You okay?" he murmured, pressing a series of kisses to Spencer's neck.
"I'm scarred for life."
Spencer felt Aaron breathe a quiet laugh against his neck as Aaron's fingers started to part his shirt. "Want me to kiss it and make it better?"
"Ugh. Please, please, no dad talk."
There was a more earnest laugh, and then teeth caught Spencer's nipple. Spencer hissed and arched a bit under the weight of Aaron's body.
Aaron pulled back after a few deft flicks of his tongue. "Sorry. Gets to feel normal after he's been here a few days," he whispered between wet kisses across Spencer's chest. "I'll just have to make it better in another way."
Spencer was panting softly already, and threaded his fingers into Aaron's hair. "I thought I already opened my 'big gift'."
Aaron swirled his tongue around the other nipple, then whispered, "Let's call this a bonus."
Spencer laughed through and moan, smiling, and accepted the extra gift happily.
innerslytherin, who requested "Reid/Rossi. Candles and power outages" in my drabble offer from yesterday.
Spencer's fingers curled hard against Dave's arm. "Ow--Spencer, you... let go."
Spencer just drew a shaky breath, and Dave had to pry Spencer's finger's open.
"Hurting me."
"What happened?"
"For a genius, that's a pretty dense question. Power went out." Spencer didn't respond, so Dave wrapped his arms around Spencer's waist. Spencer had been straddling his lap before it went dark, so it was easy to pull Spencer against his chest. Spencer let himself be pulled, and Dave reached up to stroke his hand over Spencer's hair. "Just relax."
"It's dark. All your blinds are closed."
"They were closed for a reason," Dave murmured, his tone suggestive, and slid his hand down to cup Spencer's ass. Spencer batted it away.
Dave sighed. There wouldn't be much light from the windows, but even the trickling in of moonlight would help Spencer. Dave wished he could stroke Spencer's back and make the fear go away, but fear of the dark stemmed from a whole cluster of abandonment issues. Dave wasn't going to leave Spencer, but he knew his word wouldn't erase the fear.
"Up," he whispered, nudging Spencer until he slid out of his lap. Dave paused a moment to suck at Spencer's throat, wishing he hadn't been interrupted from doing that earlier. Spencer nudged him away, though, and Dave went to go get the emergency candles.
By the time he'd lit them, he looked up to see Spencer had fitted himself into the corner of the couch, and when he went to join Spencer, Spencer tugged Dave against him.
"Oh, now you want to cuddle?"
"Shh," Spencer ordered.
"This enough light?" Dave whispered, sliding his arms around Spencer's waist.
Spencer held Dave tightly for a long moment, then turned his head, pressing his cheek against Dave's hair. "Enough," he whispered. "Now." His fingers stroked Dave's shoulder for another moment, and then he added, "It's enough when you're holding me."
A smile bloomed across Dave's face that he knew had to be ridiculous. He was immensely thankful for the dark.
Drabble offer is still open, btw, as of right now. I may close it if I get many more, though.
Date: 2008-12-07 03:32 pm (UTC)Oh, that's perfect. I love it.
I read it yesterday, but was at work and never got the opportunty to tell you how much I loved it. I had a really ridiculous smile on my face when I served the next customer *g*
And even though I don't see Reid/anyone else I did read youtr others, too. I particularly loved Jack hiding under the tree and Reid not being all that sure about him, but trying anyway, and Jack obviously liking Reid.
Wonderful.
Date: 2008-12-22 12:51 am (UTC)Thank you for this--it was lovely. I enjoy fics that incorporate Jack into them--this was sweet and charming. :D The "no dad talk" made me chuckle out loud. The ending was nice, too.
Both of the other drabbles were enjoyable as well. Of course, not as enjoyable as the Hotch/Reid, but I'm sure that isn't a total surprise! *hee*
Yeah, I agree. I've had him in a couple of my fics. I should try to incorporate him more often. I also hope the show doesn't forget about him totally and that we get to see him once in a while.
