Okay, did anyone else think this writer was trying too hard to prove they knew the show's history? Perhaps to distract us from the shit writing? There was the Lila reference, and the mention of the way Em dressed in high school. (Speaking of which: HJAKG;;HJSKGHADJG;H Dave gave her the look of TWOO WUB at that).

Also, Rossi: "Classic cannibal? Hell of a job we have." Like he didn't know this? O.o

Oh, and JJ? Was a fucking idiot to just walk in the house like that, knowing the profile, and then just follow the girl in calling after her. Wf? Reid went back to being season one Reid. This writer had NO clue how to write Rossi. Morgan, Hotch, and Emily were okay, but that's only half the team.

There was also some reference to a schizophrenic mother, and the father would have left (or something), and we got NO reaction from Spencer.

Seriously BAD writing in this episode. Trufax.

Good things: 1) Wook ob wub Dave gives Emily after the mention of her high school look, 2) Dave saying it was a good choice to send Emily in to interrogate the witness, 3) Dave drinks whiskey, smokes cigars, and is into the Rat Pack! HEEE! 4) Hotch's a Beatles fan! and 5) A Clockwork Orange! (though technically, since that's only fiction, it's not REALLY "guilt by association").

Oh yeah, and UGH. Commercial with Mandy in it during the show. *vomits into mouth a little bit*

TRUFAX.

All this.

But they even got Prentiss' backstory messed up, so obviously they don't know it as well as they think they do.

[livejournal.com profile] slash_girl says they canned her, so WTF is she doing freelancing for them? Ugh.

Yeah, I remember that now. :( Probably they get to pay her less freelancing. She deserves to be paid nothing. I wouldn't buy this script from her!

Glad i watched on the local Canuckistan channel.

And you forgot--Hotch laughing. :D

But yeah, they really need to not buy anymore scripts from Holly Harold. I'll be she IS a twilight fan....

There were lots of cute lines in this ep, which I'll give credit to Holly Herold for, but that was about it. Everyone felt off- from Reid not having seen Clockwork Orange (which seems weird given his love for all things sci-fi) or heard of Twilight (has he met the internet? seen a movie in the last year? been to a bookstore?), to JJ following the crazy girl around the house when she knows full well about the profile to that cheeseball ending (I'm pretty surprised they didn't end it on a freeze frame with them all laughing).

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed the powers that be realized we'd need a bit of a break before the next few episodes, which from descriptions sound a bit intense.

But did JJ know about the profile? She snatched Reid's phone (excuse me, Spence...WTF this?) to call Derek to tell him that Reid was ready to give the profile. But then I think she left to go to Gina's house to talk to her. (I had to watch twice to figure this out because the story was so...I don't know...disjointed?) And we only see Gina at the very beginning, and I think JJ asks Reid to check out the dead girl's friends but he doesn't get around to it until the fourth act? But it was worth it for the scene on the jet at the end with Hotch and Rossi.

Loved Emily interrogating/fake-fangirling Dante. Gavin R...not so much. I pretty much figured out it was the manager, just now how he'd done it.

Commercial with Mandy....instant memo to self...DO NOT watch Three Rivers that night! (I noticed he's still chewing the scenery..even from the bed!)

Holly Harold should not write any more eps if she doesn't understand the characters. This was entertaining enough, but it wasn't the quality we have come to expect.

JJ walking in the house which was a replica of Tobias Hankel's seemed very unlikely to me. They should have learnt that when you go knock on someone's door and they are absolute creeps and clearly insane something is definitely off...

Also, I think Reid would know Kubrik's work? Maybe it's just me... but I wasn't very impressed by this episode.
