Depression again. I've been so fragile lately. Apparently if you don't use "*G*", smileys, or "*hugs*" when you talk to me online right now, I'm interpreting it as, "I hate you, Jenn." Just so you know. *siiiiiiiiiigh*

ETA: Ohh Guuuys, I wasn't fishing for digital hugs or compliments, I swear. *headdesk*

LOL Thanks. There are actually two people (that I can think of) online that I never expect emoticons from, and one of them is you, because it's normal for you not to use them. I'm not sure why I pay so much damn attention to things like these. It makes me mental sometimes, clearly.

My husband really hates emoticons. I sometimes use them in chat, anyway, because gmail animates them and I think that's amazingly cool.

Anyway, taking the long view as someone who has been reading your journal and only sees what you write, you seem to be gradually winning in a big struggle to have a good and happy life. I know sometimes you feel like you're only complaining, but a constant reader can also see the progress. So keep on keeping on. You can handle the difficult feelings by writing hilarious fan fiction. (No that wasn't self-serving, much.) ♥

What's funny is that when you really think about it, if we all really loled every time we typed 'lol', we'd all sound a little insane. The way you type is more true to life, but we're so used to seeing the lolz and emoticons from so many people.

I know I am happier than I was a year ago, and certainly a lot more than two years ago. It's just getting more difficult now than it had been before. It's like all my armor I used to hide behind is gone and I'm dealing with a lot of shit that I avoided dealing with most of my adult life.

*G* Did you read the Moss/Richmond fic by crowson75 that I linked a while back? I would recommend it. (And I'm trying to convince Steph to co-write IT Crowd fic with me.)

Years and years ago, when we were moving somewhere I was SURE I was going to hate, I kept feeling like I was going to fly apart into a million pieces. (aka "The Death Star imitation) I was asking for hugs from everybody because I really needed them. So ask away! *hugs*

But I also understand about feeling reluctant to ask for them, too. *more hugs* Hang in there, dear, it WILL get better. You've been doing so well lately. (And I ended up loving the place we moved to.) <333
