So, I’m going crazy. Tuesday I went back for a second interview at the place I last posted about. This time I talked to the executive director. He said that the girl I first interviewed was very impressed with me. He was providing a second set of eyes for her, but that she would be doing the actually hiring. He also said that it was narrowed down to me and two other girls. Then he asked questions like “tell me about your personality”. Wtf. How am I supposed to answer that? Anyway, I put on m best face and tried to answer. I think it went okay, but I’m nervous. [livejournal.com profile] resolucidity recommend sending a follow up email thanking the girl who would actually hired me, so I did, all this “it was nice talking to you and so-and-so, and I was impressed with the place, and I hope to hear back soon, yada yada”.

I interviewed Tuesday, emailed yesterday, and already feel like calling today and going “OMG PICK MEEEEEEEEEE! I PROMISE I’LL BE GOOOOOD!!!!” Probably not a good idea, huh? *sigh* When should I call back if I don’t hear anything? Next week? Monday? I don’t know!

That’s enough of that. In comms-I-mod-news, [livejournal.com profile] cm_exchange sign ups are still going on! Also [livejournal.com profile] cmrossiprentiss and [livejournal.com profile] ssa_rossi are running past challenges challenges. Check out the user info on each comm for that. And last but not least, [livejournal.com profile] microgirl8225 is running the Rossi/Prentiss Wedding Fest over at [livejournal.com profile] cmrossiprentiss. Go play! At all of them! lol Or maybe just one. Or two. :P

good luck. It took them months to hire me for my job, so don't get discouraged if you don't hear for awhile.

My advice as someone who just hired a new person is this: Don't call. I know it's hard to wait, and I do hope they let you know either way (though I am crossing my fingers you get it; I was wondering what the status was on my drive in to work this morning) but an e-mail is enough. If you call and they're still making a decision, it could get a little annoying. Totally depends on the person, of course, but you don't want to take the risk that she's the type to get easily annoyed if she's still weighing her options.

Anyway. I hope she does call soon and offer you the position. You need to get out of your current situation and it sounds like a good place to work.

I don't know. They don't have anyone in the position now, so I would think they're ready fill it. Then again, they might be handling it okay for now without someone.

Yeah, I know, I was worried about being a pest when I called about the second interview. I don't want to be more annoying, but it is driving me crazy. I was really wanting to get out of this place in time to avoid football season, but unless I get an offer today, that's not going to happen. *sigh*

Fingers and toes are crossed for you! I really hope this works out..you deserve better than you've been getting at the job you have.

"Tell me about your personality" Yikes! Let's see...do I tell them about 'the grandmother who reads to the grandkids' or the 'rabid fangirl squeeing over CM'????? That would be a tough one to answer!

*hugs*
