TTC Spin-off CM blog!

Some of you on my flist know that I have been writing Recap&Reviews on each new CM ep this season over at thetwocents.com. Many of you on the flist also know that I was approached in November by the Head Editor/Writer about doing a spin-off site from their site that focused solely on CM, as my reviews were getting a good response.

Now, we won't be in the planning stages until January, so IF (IF!) this all goes through, it's not going to be overnight, but it's not too early to put some serious thought into it. And I need to put together a proposal for what I want to do with the site. Hurrah!

I've waffled over the idea, mostly because I don't just want to mirror the other CM blogs, and I want to do something that the fans will actually appreciate. That's why I thought there was no better thing to do in this incubatory phase than to ask the fans what they thought!

Poll is basic, but any and everything you have to say in additional comments is love. :)

I do think there's room for another CM blog--and it'd be nice to have one that was truly fannish and where people can speak their minds (respectfully, of course, I'm not into flame wars or slagging) without worrying that a dissenting opinion will get their post deleted. To me, being fannish is about sharing things with other fans, most especially the love of a favourite show/book/movie, etc. It's also not about competing with other sites or trying to control the entire fandom. But you know that. *G*

Titles: Hmm. Oracle of Quantico would've been a good title...*g* Sorry. Maybe go with one of the ways Garcia has answered the phone? Something fun would be good. Hey, it's three in the morning, that's the best I can come up with right now! I know--Physics Magic. *heh*

What to post: As I said in the poll, whatever you want. News, discussions, polls, fun stuff, stuff about other things the cast are doing...it's all good. :D

I did say yes for being on the team--but if you get other people who REALLY want to do it and have something more specific to offer than just "helping out as needed" certainly consider them first. Cus, yanno, I have kinda done the CM blog thing before...*G* But I think yours will end up being much cooler and a lot more fun. :D

I think something fannish - for fans to enjoy the show and not get caught up in having to please anybody else would be great. I said "no" to being involved on a regular basis, but I can help out with things from time to time.

I'd love to help out if needed but I have no idea what I'd actually contribute other than artwork ^^;

I'd love to see another CM blog as I just love hearing a lot of other people's opinions about it and I think my only opinion would be be rather fandom orientated. It's great to get people's views and opinions on the episodes but I find a lot of blogs are written also with the perspective that people who aren't entrenched in the fandom can understand.

While people in the fandom just want to have a good gab about things they see in the show that the casual observer isn't going to pick up on ^^

I think I've gabbed on too much myself.. ^^

I was completely honest when I filled out the poll/survey. Seriously.

I find the lack of color commentary/overall fanatical commentary astounding. I used to do unofficial fan reviews over at the Criminal Minds Fan Wiki, but the overall interest in them just died down after CBS dropped support of the site so I stopped.

Instead I moderate the place. xD

okay so finishing up what i was saying in the other posts...

I think it's great that the other blogs have such a great relationship with the creative team, but having other fan-based communities involved would be an awesome thing, too. Like, for instance, I co-mod a Paget Fan group and I'd love to work together with you guys, conspire on fan projects (like the Paget bear we recently did) etc.

Also, I would love to help you guys out with the blog as I said with general tomfoolery, bossing people around, as a newshound, LA representative/stalker, paget fan club guru, liaison, whatever you want me to be. I also get coffee really well.
