THIS is exactly the sort of thing that makes me paranoid to friend anyone else again ever. Whether or not the screen capped post is for real, just the fact that someone would do that to someone else is disgusting. If it IS real, that's even worse, and it makes me sick.

I am THIS close to unfriending that comm myself, like others on my flist have. The level of utterly stupid and/or hateful posts lately makes me cringe.

I was disgusted when I saw that as well, as I have not de-friended the comm yet but that was surely the last straw. The amount of hate, contempt, and cruelty some people have makes me shake my head. If that person has troubles, they are definitely not meant to be exploited and then put on public display in a place that has nothing to do with it. I am appalled and feel bad for the girl.

It's not even the CM comm either! That person has joined many other comms the OP was a member of and done the same thing. No one deserves to be exposed, but especially about thing like that, which are difficult enough to talk about even among those you love.

I just saw it and I'm kind of speechless. Seriously, I don't even know what to say. Whether it's real or not, it's really, really upsetting :-( I'll be thinking about whether I stay in the comm too. It's all pretty disappointing at the moment.

If it's not real, then it's someone just trying to be mean, and that isn't acceptable... But if it's real, then it's truly hurtful, damaging, and dangerous to this person's recovery.

It's mostly not hateful posts like this one, but there have been so many stupid ass posts lately. Like "OMG squee, listen to this OH SO FUNNY phone conversation I had with a friend about Jackson Rathbone." It's just... getting a bit childish over there...

I get what you mean, though. I keep the comm because I might need them later. And because it's more work for me to defriend something than it is to scroll past it. *lazy*

The woman in question does know about it though, so I'm hoping abuse does something about it. It's horrible and disgusting and cruel and just skdjbkjdshbjkdshb. This makes me so angry.

I was seriously pissed, and I don't even know the person who was posted about. I'm home and have napped and calmed down now, but like I said above, if the original post was falsified, it's mean, but it it was true, it's damaging and dangerous to that person's recovery. Not to mention it only propagates the stigma attached to people who suffer from the sorts of things mentioned.

Ugh. I shouldn't take it so personally, I know, and I LIKE to believe the best in people, but sometimes someone comes along and makes me want to punch people in the face.

I didn't see the image, but that is not only because they took it down, but because I honestly tend to fic type journals when it comes to the CM fandom. It's not out of a want to be anti-social, but I have just found so many other items of interest in the fic areas and I tend to get annoyed in the regular communities. People seem less "live and let live" and more "rawr, i are asshole, hear me roar".
