Yeah, but that doesn't include the biased option, now does it ;)
What are we classifying as Asian food btw? Because I love a lot of food from the region, but for example Indian food and some Thai things are not things I would pick to eat.
Well, but see, you should just agree with me and be done with it... :P
I, personally, was thinking specifically of Chinese/Japanese/Thai/etc. I know Asia is bigger than that, but Indian food, for example, is in its own category in my head. A yucky one with spice overkill most of the time.
Mmm, me too. And what sucks is that the local grocery store that sells it changed brands, and it's disgusting now. The rice is gummy. Bleh. Not that grocery store sushi can even compare to the real deal, but it's better than nothing when you don't have the cash for real sushi. Which I don't most of the time.
Eugh, I know what you mean. We've gotten lucky at uni, we have a new food section added and it's a different sushi supplier than better (the stuff available in the college shop is VILE)
Hmmm. I've just never been to an Indian restaurant that I've actually enjoyed, and I know there's a lot more to it than American-restaurant-Indian food, but that's all the experience I have with it.
Well, it's sort of silly of me to be picky about it, since you just lumped together the cuisine of an entire continent, but I fear you are missing out on some tasty things.
LOL Really, the main purpose of this poll was to tease innerslytherin, so I wasn't really trying to be diplomatic... but you're probably right. I probably am. And honestly, I'd try anything once, so it's mostly just a matter of what I've had available to me/been willing to try and cook.
This is another issue for me. While I LOVE the taste of curry, I can't eat it most of the time in restaurants. I get so jealous of my husband when he gets it, and I can eat one or two bites of his, but any more than that and I'm nauseous the rest of the day. (I think it's due to the coconut milk that's so often in it in restaurants around these parts.)
I used to love Asian food. Now I'm just hoping that I'll still be able to tolerate it by the time I graduate. (Then again, that could be said of any kind of food, or food in general. DEATH TO DORM FOOD)
Indian food is yummy too, but I tend to classify that in a different group in my head.
