So much for breakfast of champions...

So I got up this morning, ready to have a good "Sunday". Slept late and all, felt good. Went to go make my big breakfast, which I do every "weekend". Now, I'm low on coffee since me and the husband are both in the red until payday, so I carefully divided what I had left yesterday so I had enough for one cup yesterday and today. Not enough, but it works.

So I was making breakfast, grooving to The Pixies, and ran out of paper towels. No biggie. I had a new roll. Went to reach for it, and in the process spilled my only cup of coffee everywhere. So I scramble to stop the coffee from reaching the cords of a couple appliances, and I start smelling smoke. So, basically my only cup of coffee is gone and I burned half of my breakfast. There is still coffee all over the kitchen because I wanted to at least eat my eggs while they were hot. I just sort of stuck paper towels around the edges of the spill to keep it from spreading.

Long story short, I went from upbeat to grumpy in about an hour, and I still have a freaking mess to clean up. Grr.

I sympathize so much. I'd be more than grumpy without my morning coffee; I hate it when dh is up and gone before me and drinks the last of the coffee without making more. So right now I'm the one up and gone first, and if I take a little too much coffee so there's not enuf, oh well; payback's a bitch, baby.

Hopefully payday is very soon??
