Ugh & YAY!

I woke up at 3am, stayed in bed until I was sure I wouldn't get back to sleep, which was at 3:50. Since that time I made a grocery list and cleaned my bathroom and kitchen. Let me repeat, because it bears repeating. I cleaned. From 4:30-5am. Wtf, people. Wtf. So ugh, yeah, I'm going to regret this tonight. I'm already regretting it, actually, and it's only 5:15. I don't work until 7.

BUT! K is taking a leave of absence (and I've heard it's supposed to be a long one). The owner has been around a lot lately, and I had a feeling something was going on. Now his wife is taking the GM role. She's super nice on a personal level (I don't know how she is as a manager, but she has to be better than K)!

I found out last night, and felt like I'd won the freaking lottery! I would be more excited to go back to work right now if I wasn't so freaking tired.

I know all about shakeups at the job, believe me. I hope this one is good for you, at least brings relative peace and harmony, where the focus can be doing your job at work and not carrying around an umbrella to avoid the shit storm.

Don't you just hate it when you wake up early and realize that you won't be able to go back to sleep!? Arggggg! But yeah, tonight you'll be feeling it. But, on the positive side, you cleaned ..sometimes all I can manage is to rearrange stuff so it looks like I cleaned.

That's good about your job...it turns out that our new manager is better than the one we had. More organized, more focused and once we all relaxed, a pretty nice lady. (Even if she is younger than my daughter. Which isn't a criticism, but sometimes I feel so old !)
Hope you get through the day okay..like around 3pm when your body says.."Hey, didn't we wake up 12 hours ago? Shouldn't we be in bed now?" *hugs*

Ugh, yuck about the 3a.m. start... and you're doing an overnight shift at work, right? Yikes :-S I'm starting back on overnight shifts tonight (first one in about six hours' time) and I managed to sleep in until 10.30 this morning and I'm still worried it won't be enough.

But yaaaay about no K for an extended period of time. Surely just about anyone else who they get to fill in for her can't possibly be as bad to work with!
