5 Things Meme, take two

1. REPLY TO THIS MEME BY YELLING "MY NAME IS THE MASTER", AND I WILL GIVE YOU FIVE WORDS THAT REMIND ME OF YOU. (ETA: You don't really have to say that for me. Just tell me you want to do it.)
2. THEN POST THEM IN YOUR JOURNAL AND EXPLAIN WHAT THEY MEAN TO YOU.
3. KEEP IN MIND THAT IF I DON'T KNOW YOU THAT WELL, YOUR WORDS MIGHT END UP KIND OF ODD OR WEIRD. IF I DO KNOW YOU, YOUR WORDS WILL MAYBE PROBABLY BE WEIRD.
I'm doing this meme again. This time, my words are from
nebula99:
Noel Fielding:
He's funny, charming, and sexy as hell. I mean, look at him:

Mmm. So my type.
I got interested in Noel when I started watching The Mighty Boosh. The show is incredibly funny in a surreal sort of way, and has major slash vibes. I mean MAJOR slash vibes. Anyway, since then, I've dug into anything with Noel I could find, including The IT Crow and Nevermind The Buzzcocks. I love both shows now, and I still adore this man. And I respect him too, and a huge part of that is because he recently went public with the fact that he has a drug problem he's recovering from. That's not easy to do, and I can't imagine how much harder it is to do it in the public eye.
Music:
I love music, but I don't get to listen to it as much as I would like. I can't listen to music and focus on writing at the same time, so I listen to it in the car, mostly. Given that my drive to work is very short, that means maybe four songs a day when I don't go out. I recently (as in a few months ago) started posting the "Song of the Day" in my journal, which is me hitting shuffle on my iPod/iTunes and posting the first song it chooses that I can find on YouTube. I thought I would do it because music is so universal. It touches everyone in different ways. I wanted to share some of the music that touches me with everyone, and hopefully other people would get some enjoyment out of it. On top of that, it's a little extra daily dose of music for me, and at times I get to listen to songs I haven't listened to in ages. Good times.
Diana Reid: (see icon)
Diana, for those of you who don't know, is the mother of Spencer Reid on Criminal minds. I adore this woman. She's the mother of a genius and a paranoid schizophrenic that is confined to an institution in Las Vegas. She smart, and funny, and fiercely protective of her son, who she knows is brilliant, but a little sensitive/broken. I eat up every episode she's in, which is sadly only a couple, and I can't get enough of her. I guess that last part is especially true, as she is one of the characters I play at
bau_rpg. I love writing her.
Writing:
Ah, writing. I do a shit ton of it with
innerslytherin. I think at this point you can say it's just part of who I am. I'm a writer. I've written everything from screenplays, to fiction, to stand up comedy, to television reviews for a TV website. Lately I feel like I'm hitting a personal wall. I do okay co-writing, because
innerslytherin is good at helping me get unstuck when I get stuck, but solo-writing has been hard. I think a huge part of it is my slowly increasing dosages of medications for my bipolar disorder, depression, and OCD. It's not uncommon for people with bipolar (which is often associated with creativity) to feel a loss of inspiration to be creative once on meds. When I did my year end fic list for last year, I had written significantly less than the year before when my meds were at far lower dosages. *sigh* It's part of who I am, and I love it, but it can be a struggle to write solo stuff now.
David Rossi:
I adore this man. And just like Diana Reid, I play this character in
bau_rpg. He's funny, and brash, and cocky, and caring, and generous. He doesn't always know how to express that he cares, but he does. The longer Dave has been on Criminal Minds, the more and more I find it difficult to watch the seasons he was not a part of. The character he "replaced" is so glaringly different from Dave, and unable to let anyone get close to him. Dave jumps in with all his heart, and he's really connected with the team. He would fight for any one of them. He's just wonderful. And it doesn't hurt that all his qualities combined makes him pretty darn sexy.
