CM Fandom Pairing Memes

Can't remember where they came from. I just did a search for pairing memes (I was just slightly bored at the time), and I edited in a few of my own categories in places on the first one. LOL

One True Pairing Ship: ONE?!?!?! Okay, well, I am CLEARLY not an OTPer in this fandom, but if I HAD an OTP, it would probably be Hotch/Reid, Hotch/Rossi, or Reid/Rossi. Probably Hotch/Reid, just because it sparked my first "OOH SLASHEH PRETTEH!" reaction when I joined the fandom, and because if you look at my rather lengthy list if non-collaborative WIPs, over half of them are H/R. Literally. I compiled a list of my WIPs a few days ago, and was sort of shocked at the disproportionate amount of H/R--five out of nine of them, and the remaining four had no common pairings. O.o LOL

Canon Ship: Hotch/Rossi IS SO CANON. CURRENT canon, too! DON'T try to tell me otherwise, either. THE SHOW made it canon with that fucking SONG at the end of Rossi's first episode, damn it. *OMGFLAIL*

1. Why do you dislike #11 so much?
I wouldn't say I dislike them SO much. I don't care enough about it to hate it, so it's just sort of on my list of things I generally don't read.

Here's the deal. I can see why other people might think this is an "OMGSOKEWL!" ship. I really can. I get the draw. They do have a lot of things in common and are similar sort of people. The problem for me is that they are almost TOO similar, in a sense. They are both pretty compartmentalized people, and for that reason (among others), I think their relationship would be pretty... cold. And that is not to say I think either character is individually cold, but that I can't see any spark between them. In my opinion, if you hook up with someone who's your opposite, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If you hook up with someone too much like you, like Hotch/Prentiss (in my head), it gets boring REALLY fast. Hotch and Prentiss need lovers to shake them up, and I just don't think they can do that for each other enough, even on a friendly level to generate interest in more than friendship in the first place.

2. Who do you know that ships #13?

3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3?
innerslytherin and I wrote a 'getting together' fic with these two (that's actually turned into a series), and in my head that's it. We should be posting it in January. :)

4. What is your favorite moment for #1?
Probably the ending of LDSK, everything from Hotch telling the unsub he wants to kick Reid's ass (and yes, I know that's not actually what he says) to Reid telling Hotch he kicks like a 9 year old girl. *VBG* (Plus, it's always fun when Hotch goes all RAWR!)

5. How long have you been following couple #6?
LOL There's not enough of it around, but I follow what I can. Probably since joining the fandom, I think.

6. What's the story with #8? What made you stop caring?
You know, I still love the PAIRING. It's the fandom that I stopped caring about, sadly.

7. Which ship do you prefer: #2 or #4?

I bet I can't say both, can I? *wibbles* Ewwwww to both. On the one hand, I don't think Reid and Prentiss understand one another. On the other hand... Gideon sex. and Gideon/Reid. And Gideon/Hotch. And omg, I'm going to vomit. #12! Fine, I eradicate #12!

9. What interests you about #14?
It's just so QUIRKY. I LOVELOVELOVE oddball pairings, and opposites attracting and all that jazz. And come on! ROSSI AND GARCIA = MADE OF WIN. SO HOW CAN ROSSI/GARCIA NOT BE MADE OF AWESOME?!

10. When did you stop liking #7?
I never liked them so much. innerslytherin talked me into writing them, and DUDE, it WAS really fun... until we got to the sex, and I actually started to get totally squicked. I can read non-graphic Morgan/Rossi written by other people, but I don't think I can write it.

11. Did #9 kill your interest in the series?
AHAHAHAHAHA! No, not at all. The opposite, actually, as it was the last ship that I tried to cling to. The series killed my interest in the series all by itself.

12. What's a song that reminds you of #5?
I don't find myself thinking about this pairing enough to have a song handy... so you can have a Hotch/Reid song! This is from the fanmix I am working on which has possibly turned into more of a fic with a soundtrack. *headdesk* I Guess You're Right by The Posies.

Hotch/Reid

Gideon/anyone

Sure they do! They're both damaged men who could benefit from each other immensely. And they're young and pretteh. So, yes. Definitely.

Well, eventually innerslytherin is going to win. I've come to terms with that. :P

19. If only one could happen, which would you prefer: #2 or #6?
Depends on if I want long term relationship fic, or HAWT SMEX fic. #2 for relationship fic, and the hawt sex (OMGYESPLEASEICANHAZ) for #6.

See, for me I THINK it's a matter of what's the most personal, rather than attraction (as is, I think the case with much of slash fandom, due to it's make up of primarily heterosexual women). I, obviously, have no clue what it actually feels like to be a man having sex with other men, so I can separate myself from it a bit, whereas with het or femslash, because I'm 1) female, and 2) have experience in both heterosexual and lesbian lurvin, I feel like I'm exposing myself. If that makes any sense at all. lol

Innerslytherin and I are discussing writing a few new ships though--Rossi/Prentiss, Hotch/JJ, and yes, JJ/Em--just to stretch a bit, though. I doubt any het or femslash we co-write would be graphic, however...

I totally see why Reid/Prentiss should not happen, besides the obvious fact that he is having sex with all the men type folk.

However, there are a couple fandom Prentiss's that I would shove Reid with if he had to have a woman and Garcia or JJ were not available. Gentle geeky Prentiss is nice. Canon Prentiss is okay, just not for Reid.

I am more adamantly Anti Reid/Elle. Well before she went batshit crazy.
