Also, TTC! I'm really trying to get thetwocents onto the LJ spotlight. How much do you love me? I know it's not a blog with a huge following or amount of traffic, and they are working on things like getting us off blogger (the blog url is sort of tacky right now). But I like writing for it, I like the blog, and really do want to see it grow. Speaking of which, if any of you writers out there are interested, we're looking for people to cover some top shows:

Hypothetically, were one thinking of applying to write for TTC? The writing, not the applying. Are there set deadlines or just "as soon after the episode as you can manage"? Have you got word limits (max or min) and what's the policy on spoilers?

They like you to get it up as soon as it's possible. I TRY to get mine up within two days (the last two eps were so good, I got them up the next day), but sometimes it takes a little longer (especially given I have two shows on the same night.) But they do understand it's volunteer, so you know... I'm sure if you were consistently late, it might be an issue, but occasional lateness has never been a problem for me.

They like around 500 words for a 30 minute show and 500-1000 for an hour show. And they... hmm. Well you DO recap it to a certain extent, but of course you don't want to give too much away. I find I wind up recapping about the first 10-20 minutes of CM before I hit the first plot twist, and then I'm out of space for more recapping if I want to actually review it anyway.

Hypothetically, what show are you looking at? Hypothetically. *curious*

Hm, that's where it gets problematic - the only show I watch regularly anymore aside from CM is Psych, which just had it's last episode until the summer, so, yanno, there's not going to be anything to recap and review for a few months still. But I'm very interested in the IDEA of doing the whole thing.

Ahh, cool! They have a new season STARTING in the summer? O.o

I'm actually looking forward to the summer over there. last year they had summer dvd reviews, and there are two shows (cm is one) that I'd LOVE to do. :)

LOL yes, that is both the joy and the exasperation of Psych - it airs for half a season, about 8 episodes, during the summer, and then the second half of the season airs in the winter. Last night was the season finale. *sigh* I miss it already. But I might email TTC and say that when the show comes back I'd like to review it? Maybe? Or should I just wait until it's closer to the day? I dunno.

The DVD reviews sound fun, though - do you review things like the bonus features and commentary? And what's the other show? *nosey*

Um, I'm not sure if you should email him now or not, to be honest. Hmmm...

I think the summer dvd reviews are like regular R&Rs. I can't remember who all did them but one person last summer, and her reviews weren't overly thorough, so I'm not sure if other people reviewed special features or not.

The other show I'd like to do is Sports Night, a highly, HIGHLY underrated Aaron Sorkin show that ran for only two season in the late 90s. Oh, why don't I have an icon? ;)

K, so, I asked KP, the head dude over there, because I was curious. I had to email him anyway about something else.

Me: I pimped this on my LJ and MAY have someone interested in Psych when it comes back on in the summer. I'm honestly not familiar enough with it, so I don't know when it comes back, but IF she decides she wants to do it, she was wondering if she should go ahead and contact you now or wait until it got closer to Psych starting up again.

KP: Sure, see if she sees anything else she may wanna do between now and then.
