Bought real Orajel today......

Toothache: 3, Treatments specifically designed to fight toothaches: 0

*siiiiiiiiigh* HOWEVER, the dentist called in some Hydrocodone for me. So the new score looks a bit like this:

Toothache: 0, Narcotics: DEAR TOOTH, YOU LOSE. SUCK IT. LOVE ME.

Still hurts, actually, but it's muuuuuch better. I don't feel so much like crying anymore.

Hydrocodone is the same as oxycontin, isn't it? Why isn't the dentist able to deal with the tooth decay?

I THINK Oxycontin/Oxycodone is the same but about twice as strong. Anytime I've ever had Oxycodone prescribed, I've gotten very sick.

I don't know if it's decay causing it or not. It was only mildly sensitive sine the root canal until the last few days. My root canal was trickier than he thought it would be (something about him thinking there were two canals, and trying to get to the root on the second but finding it lead nowhere), so I'm not really sure what's going on. He's going to see me Thurs. morning.

I'm glad its better but I hope he gets to the bottom of what's killing you. You cant live off the drugs forever. But, but....score for him calling them in for you : )

Yeah, I would really rather just get the issues fixed than keep drugging myself, but somehow tooth pain hurts worse than just about anything, so I've got to do SOMETHING for now. :/

I really don't think there is ANYTHING that compares to tooth pain. I've heard some claim that child birth beats it... but, yeah, I'm thinking not.

LOL I've never had a child, but there is seriously something evil about toothaches that mortal could bear.
