Song of the Day #29: Momma was an Opium Smoker - Rasputina

Well, it's about damn time I got some Rasputina that I could actually find on Youtube! Rasputina is easily in my top three favorite bands (they are probably number one, actually), and they are amazing. They started out as just three chicks playing rock music on cello. They are still three members, though the lineup has changed (with the exception of Melora, the singer/creative genius behind the band) and their style has evolved from more classical to more rock with distorted cello, etc. I was lucky enough to see them when they came to Kville last year. Oh, and I love this song. <33333

Another boring video, but the live versions online are crappy quality and therefore not a good basis for someone who's never heard them before.

Oh man, I haven't heard Rasputina in forever. They have such a great sound.
