My poor laptop

I think it's time to get a new one. My power cord is still doing that thing where it regularly acts like it's not plugged in, and now my battery is about to "reach the end of its usable life". The battery will take about $150 to replace, and it's about the same to replace the jack for my AC cord. Considering the screen of my laptop is burned out in the bottom right, I might as well buy a new one, or maybe a netbook. My husband is so addicted to Warcraft that it's not funny, so sharing a computer would be hard. Plus, I write better when I'm locked in the bedroom without distractions. Using the desktop would eliminate that.

*sigh* Of course I have no money and no credit. Fun times. I wonder if the husband could get credit... If not, it's going to be a long time before I have a fully functioning laptop again.

This sucks. Maybe my tax refund will help.

(Sorry for the spam today. I'm off work and it keeps me distracted from the mess in my head.)

Weird story from Misha Collins' twitter (man in icon). He really likes to make absurd twitter postings. In July 09 there was an earthquake in LA. He talked about how lucky he was that he lived in a bunker and therefore was safe. And he had a tiny pony powering his computer. But then he got hungry and ate the tiny pony.

Then he realized the lip was on his periscope and it turned out the quake didn't destroy LA and felt silly.


As I said, long story and weird. But hilarious.

Maybe the refund will help.....I already know 3 people who used theirs to get totally affordable laptops.

Spam is OK, so is distraction from things in your head. My laptop is getting really hot actually from being on all day so I am going to give Matilda a little rest and go and make some dinner.

Heh, it looks like I owe. My husband gets a return to balance us out, thankfully, but it's sucked away almost half of what he would have gotten.
