I just had Thanksgiving in March.

We got a turkey from my work in November, and we never made it. We've been meaning to for a while, though, and we finally did. Er, well I did, and the husband got to eat it. This is the second time I've tried a turkey, and it's come out great both times! I'm not so good at carving (okay, fine, I butchered it), but I make a hell of a bird. And if anyone else is special enough (I'm not even sure how I mean that) to have Thanksgiving in the spring, I highly recommend Alton Brown's recipe. I wish I had taken a picture. lol

It's only a matter of time until I fuck one up, right? Doesn't everyone fuck up a Thanksgiving turkey at some point?

Yes, I do, which is why I leave that to the experts....mom. It helps I'm not a big turkey eater so I dont feel this need to experiment with cooking it. My mother makes a mean turkey.
