They're just regular glazed donuts, only sweeter and slimier than your standard glazed donut. I have never understood the fuss over them and their seventeen thousand calories per serving.

Mostly, I HATE cake doughnuts, which seem to be the main alternative. Plus that huge amount of calories makes it nom-licious, though certainly not something to eat every day. And they're perfect and fluffy and mmmm... I will never understand the dislike of them. lol

Oh I'm totally with you on the cake donuts - those are little circles of grossness. I like regular ol' glazed donuts. I don't know what it is about the stuff Krispy Kreme puts on theirs, but if you don't eat them as soon as they come off the little conveyor belt they're just rings of slimy sugar.

Yeah. I was a way for a while. Almost a year I think. And one of the main reason i left LJ was too much fandom and I was kinda caught in it and didn't want to be anymore. Seemed like every post on my flist was about HP or Buffy. My flist is very very trimmed down now. I am totally not into any fandom, but using LJ as an actual journal now.

The glazed ones, straight from the KK store, still warm and soft and runny. The chocolate frosted creme-filled ones (not to be confused with the chocolate frosted bavarian-like creme filled ones.), the light on at the KK store indicating that they are making them fresh RIGHT NOW...totally made of win. Living in Michigan and having to resort to buying them in boxes that are who-knows-how-many-days away from the bakery of their birth...well, I have to have my fix somehow!

I grew up in Kentucky and could get them there fresh from the store *sigh* We're hoping to be able to retire in a couple of years and we're looking at moving to TN or thereabouts.
*thinks positive thoughts* Tim Horton's has opened up some stores here and their donuts are pretty good, so we make do.

There are 2 sorts of doughnuts - the ring ones which you should buy hot from a van at a festival and the ones with jam in the middle which are covered in sugar.

Ugh, I hate jam/jelly filled, but you can get Krispy Kremes hot at the store. Sooo good!
